At The Core

Have you ever noticed that when a man swears, he never says, “Oh, Buddha!” or, “Allah!”, but, rather, “Jesus Christ!”?

And, has it become apparent that pretty much everything is tolerated nowadays except Christianity? Those who believe in this Jesus (who has seemingly devolved into a swear word) are themselves thought to be intolerant (for believing in God’s principles) and are, therefore, not to be tolerated.

How ironic and how hypocritical!

It’s been said that man has a God-shaped vacuum within that only God can fill.  But, man is selfish and bull-headed.  He’s going to “do it MY way” so he persists in showing disrespect – even anger and hatred – toward anything to do with God.  If God isn’t real, if He isn’t “the Way, the Truth and the Life” (John 14:6), then why all the angst and vitriol?  Why not just ignore His land and His people?

Maybe deep down (at the core), there is a fear that all this about Jesus might be true…

So, pray for them.  After all, Jesus died for them, too.

“…because that which is known about God is evident within them, for God made it evident to them.  For since the Creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”  (Romans 1:19-20)

“But, I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Again, a good and timely word. It is amazing to fight against something so vehemently when it is something each of us needs!

The biggest offenders of this are those that claim to not believe in him. Ironic, isn’t it
